I think I might be spending too much time in BBV, but Amanda in the video at that link seems to be the most exciting part of this thread....

All,

Not sure why exactly, but I get a feeling that this story might actually be mostly true.

So, Phil Laak gave the guy $5,000 to repay him for the kids Phil hit on his bike. Phil then gives the guy $15,000 to buy artifacts. When the guy asks Phil for another $10,000, Phil hires someone for $30,000 to kill the guy. Does this make any sense?

Now, 7 years later, this guy wants Phil to... What? Give him more money? What does Phil owe this guy? He's given him $20,000. Even if all this is true what does this guy want Phil to do?

Phil Laak is probably the most famous person this guy has ever met and he has some dirt on him. He's probably threatened Phil in the past. ("Pay me or I'll tell everyone about your past")
This sounds like extortion or blackmail.

[ QUOTE ]
"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it..............The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State." --- Joseph Goebbels, German Minister of Propaganda, 1933-1945

*yawn* at your effort for coming across as an intellectual, and totally misused under the circumstances where we know nothing about the messenger and his motives, nor anything about the validity of the message. You can't use these quotes to be held as being-the-case until proven otherwise. That would be ridiculous, since the quote most likely isn't applicable even if the story is a total fabrication. ...whatever im tired
