You must have read the reviews heard the hype then once you played it felt let down and lied to, what games failed to do it for you? My biggest disappointments were
FF VII A tedious cliché ridden, confusing story that could have been written by a sixteen year old Goth ties together an endless sequence of pointless battles. Metal Gear Solid Awkward controls basic game play and long periods of watching poorly directed mini movies. Secret of Mana A by the numbers story and a token veneer of RPG elements ties together a linear game of endlessly repeating battles. Deus Ex Conspiracy theories nonsense fux intellectual tripe of a story. A week excuse for a FPS and not enough genuine role play to rescue it. I guess I’m trying to stir up a bit of controversy I constantly see these games lauded and applauded but they all fall well short as far as I’m concerned. Feel free to try to defend them if you like but you’re wrong. |

I agree mgs was way over-rated, it was just one of the first ps2 games to get serious hype. It hasnt stood the test of time at all, unlike something like half-life, for example.

Are you trolling?
EDIT: And to the person above me, MGS was not a PS2 game. |

i enjoyed all these games. Just because they managed to generate a lot of hype doesn't detract from them in my mind.

Tomb Raider is it for me. Never liked the controls or plot, and I couldn't really get into it.

MGS and MGS2 were the best games in their respective systems. If you disagree with me: I challenge you to a duel to the death!
