Did you not read anything that Fred wrote? The part that "didn't work" was that there wasn't enough crossover to the sportsbook to justify the costs of running the rakefree poker room. If you nits had a little gamble in you, we'd still have a 100% rakefree room.

This is just such BS I can't contain myself. Sports bettors are idiots. I've known ONE successful, professional sports bettor in my life. How can you expect intelligent poker players to make negative expectation sports bests. Sheer lunacy.

Yeah, because basically no one plays BJ on Party or UB.

The pahud users already have a work around.
The only solution is to kill the hand histories all togeather.
This should clear out alot of the nits and make for a better poker game.

lol...clear out the nits? So you want there to be less players there? We already can't get more than 2 games going at any given limit. Good idea sir.

Above you see the folly which doomed Wsex from day one. Actually, I take that back. Wsex was doomed the day the GM agreed with such stupidity and attempted to make it policy.

Yep, as someone else on this thread stated...grinders are essential to a poker room...no grinders/no games. End of story.

Fred,

I tried to PM you with this question but your PM box is still full.

I have been playing exclusively at wsex for the past couple months. I'd like to continue to do so, pending how badly the contributed rake affects me, but I have a problem:

I will be heading out on a year-long trip overseas. I'm currently a US resident. Will there be any way for me to cash out while I'm traveling other than check? If not, will I be able to have checks made out to someone other than myself back in the states who can cash them for me?

I'd like to keep playing at your site, but I may not be able to unless I am able to find a reasonable way to cash out while overseas.

Thanks!

SC

Theres kind of an easy work around for this if you really wanted to. Have someone pick up the check from your mail, have them forge signature (you could even grant them power of attorney if you want to (and they dont have to be one for that ) and then they could sign their own name) and have them put it in your checking account.

Translation "I lose at sports betting"

There are tons of succesful sports bettors. My fave is the guy who bets live action during golf tournies. He was featured in golf digest. He makes a fortune with the "punters"

I myself would now be sitting pretty if I had only followed my own advice last year. I was working in an NCAA institution so I couldn't gamble on sports..but if I could have...

Last year Big 10 Hoops was unusuelly flat in the middle. there were two really good teams, two really bad teams and 7 teams about the same. My idea was to ALWAYS take the home team heads up with an odds bet...with the following exceptions:

1. If one og the two good teams was on the road, dont bet the game. Unless they were playing each other, then take the home team

If one of the two awful teams was at home, dont bet the game. Unless they were playing each other, then take the home team.

with this plan I would have bet on 60 games. I would have been 58-2!!! Obviously I would have been betting the favorite in most of those games...but lets just say it averaged out to a 3-2 favorite (that is conservative). If I would have bet $300 a game, I would have won $11,000.

P.S. I don't think the Big Ten will be like that again this year

If you just want the check deposited into your account you don't have to sign the back. Just write "for deposit only". Problem solved...if you have someone who will bring it to the bank for you.

Go to a UPS store and rent a box for $30 every three months. You might even have to temporarily change your address. No big deal. Change it back when you get home.

Have your checks sent to the box. Then have UPS forward your mail to you.

I did that for a year.
