Roxy--

I think the revolver is a nice inside joke for those in the know, but I don't think it adds anything to your design. If you can sneak it small onto the back, maybe, or in a lighter background tone, the way the suits are, but as is it becomes too prominent. Again, if the eye is just glancing over it, 'gun' reads before anything else.

I'm not too crazy about the gun either, but I still love your design.

[ QUOTE ]
Revision: Added spine and back cover and changed fonts. Dammit borknager, I thought I would be safe from getting rickrolled in this thread. As for the TOC on the front cover I think we should stick with 2+2 tradition here. Just kidding, I don't really like it either but my design wouldn't work without it.

Also, how you people insert a larger image? I'm using imageshack and this is the largest size it allows me to upload. I tried using photobucket and it wouldn't allow me to go any larger either.

I think this looks great!

Thanks for your comments Larrondo and Jan. I decided to just get rid of the gun and stick with just one face and the chips.

In order to extend this design to mulitiple volumes I decided to take this route:
Volume 1- Kh-Blue
Volume 2- Qh-Red
Volume 3- Jh-Green
Volume 4- Kd-Other color
Volume 5- Qd-Other color
Volume 6- Jd-Other color

and so on with the other suits.....

Let me know how that sits with you guys.

Why wasn't there an announcement about this atop the 2+2 forum? There haven't been nearly enough entries in my opinion.

This seems like a big deal to me and IMO this thread needs more traffic ASAP. Maybe extend the deadline once this happens?

Roxy's SnG, and Gonso's PNL, IMO, would be perfectly fine even if no one ever posted again. I think they set the bar pretty high. That's not to discourage new posters, but just to say that even if this hasn't gotten enough exposure, we're not really hurting.

Thanks Jq^_^

Phenomenon, I don't know about the other entries, but waiting until the 15/16 seems like torture as it is. I just want this contest to end soon because it's killin' my nerves. >_<

I made some revisions to my SNG cover. I moved the "S" more to the left to fix the negative space problem and I filled the letters using the title as a text pattern. Let me know what you think.

The over lap of the letter T from "sit" on the top left hand corner with the letter E from "expert" doesn't look right IMO. Perhaps spacing each line furthur apart??
Any way love the design hope you win, good luck.
