A) I actually like the original CSI, there's something slightly subversive about Grissom as hero. The other two (especially Miami, the worst show on TV, including The Bachelor, all the daytime soaps and Hannity & Colmes), not so much...

B) Veronica Mars - this season, not so much, first 2 seasons = awesome.

C) Shark - good god this show is terrible. I mean awful - my roommate, who's a prosecutor, comes close to throwing the tv out the window whenever he watches for 5 minutes. But so help me, James Woods acting annoyed with people is major +EV.

Deuce Bigalo European Gigalo. Quite funny and a huge flop from what I remember. Significantly better than the first one because it is funny and also an of beat murder mystery ala Psych or Monk with more sex humor.

The Professional

I don't know if this movie counts since I dont think it is even well known enough to be hated but I have loved it for years. No one seems to know it when I recommmend it though.

Kevin Costner's _The Postman_ wasn't nearly as bad as everyone said. We need symbols and institutions of national unity beyond the military, and it appears that the postal service is the best we can do. It's the only thing holding us together, beyond a shared relish for conquering other countries.

I LOVED _Starship Troopers_.

Snakes on a Plane. It delivered exactly what it promised and more. Everyone thinks that it's a piece of crap, and most people never even saw it.

To 90% of the replies in this thread: This is NOT a thread about movies that you like that other people hate. It's about movies that you think are good (for whatever reason) that are immediately discounted as junk based on reputation, title, or something.
