Re: WPT should be sued
[ QUOTE ]
honest question - is jj really actually good at poker? [/ QUOTE ] All signs point to yes. She's one of the only two women to make multiple open-invite WPT final tables, and everyone in attendance including Forrest were very impressed with her play at the Bay 101 final table. She has a weak image, but she got a lot more aggressive at the final table and the boys were definitely scared to play with her, letting her run them over as a result. |

Re: WPT should be sued
[ QUOTE ]
Once WPT events get to the final table, they are no longer poker tournaments. They become TV shows. What's the best thing to do for the ending of a 2 hour TV show? Go to black, and then show Mr Forrester with Mr Van Pattener and Mr Sextoner drinking beer, or see a real finish? It's a TV show. What might happen in a real poker tournament shouldn't apply. ps. Hi Evey [/ QUOTE ] Actually, I don't think it would be so terrible for the WPT to cut the show and say the two agreed to a 'deal' because J.J. wasn't feeling well. It would be incredibly human of them and I think it would be received well. As it stood, they took on some significant risk that something really bad could happen to J.J. and some would blame them for not cutting it short (essentially blaming the WPT for 'making' her continue to play). How bad would that publicity be? Geez, nothing really bad happened to her apparently, and they're still taking a P.R. hit. How is this going to play on TV? Are they going to show footage of her doubled-over in pain and looking like she is about to faint and really NEEDS to be going to a hospital? All the while mentioning, "Wow Vince. She really cares about this event. Remember that she's 4 months pregnant while she's suffering these pains. So she's essentially risking the health of her own baby because she wants her own SPECTACULAR WPT TITLE so badly!!" BECAUSE it was a TV event is exactly why they probably should have taken care of this a bit differently and just said, "Screw our 'no deals' policy. This is different." Because they don't want to risk the huge publicity hurt if something really bad had happened to her. |

[ QUOTE ] Lol Tseaments [/ QUOTE ] the correct term is lolovertaments. [/ QUOTE ] I'm sorry, but we can't accept that. Perhaps if you said "LOlivertaments" we could give it furthur consideration, but unfortunatly we are rejecting your contribution. We also would accept "Lol Squintaments". |

[ QUOTE ] are you, Oliver K. Tse the father of the baby? [/ QUOTE ] No. (And I do not believe your question is appropriate.) Dan Alspach is the father. [/ QUOTE ] I thought you weren't going to express opinions. |

Re: WPT should be sued
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I have been instructed not to post to this thread anymore. [/ QUOTE ] It is absolutely stunning that you couldn't figure out this was the best course of action long before being 'instructed' on this. If this is just code for you having finally decided yourself to stop posting in this thread it is still stunning that it took you so long to do so. I'm pretty sure J.J. or Dan would not exactly be thrilled with how you 'represented' them in this thread. Also - that whole long post about being an agent in California vs. Nevada vs. anywhere else was so bizarre and unnecessary I don't know where to begin. [/ QUOTE ] He made several posts defending his own actions where he clearly implied Dan and JJ did not do the right thing. Ok, he didn't say that, but I don't think there was any realistic way to miss the implication. On the first one I was almost stunned. I couldn't believe he would imply his clients acted very poorly. If he were my agent (not that I anticipte ever having a need for an agent) there's a very good chance he would've been fired for that alone. The weird thing about it was that it was completely gratuitious, he could have said I did not know what was going on at the time, without implying that those that did were making very bad decisions. --Zetack |

Re: WPT should be sued
[ QUOTE ]
I am J.J.'s poker agent for the online gaming category ONLY, but I am not J.J.'s entertainment agent and I am not J.J.'s manager. [/ QUOTE ] Oliver really should not have represented himself in this thread as he had. This had nothing whatsoever to do with JJ and online poker. I'm sure that Dan and JJ told him to STFU because of this. How he will represent JJ in online sponsorship and whatnot remains to be seen. |
