Re: moderator ethics
The only requirements which the moderator should meet is to be trusted by both players.
All the "he shouldnt do X or shouldnt do Y" doesnt matter at all. If both KKF and Samo agree for that moderator its ok because its their private match. |

Re: moderator ethics
If one of the players call BS on the other for backing out why not just air it out here and let the general consensus speak?

If one of the players call BS on the other for backing out why not just air it out here and let the general consensus speak? [/ QUOTE ] Because general consensus here is formed by 19 years old gambling degenerates who wants action and fun on anything and have very weak skills when it comes to ethical judgment. On serious note I dont get why anybody is questioning the choice of FSU here. The guy is around forever many people know him and vouche for him, both players agree to have him as moderator. Its private match not some bigtime public event where everybody need to be beyond any accusations. Dont take away his chance to have some fun by betting in the match. |

Re: moderator ethics
Samo, its not to do with questioning FSU's intergrity, its merely pointing out that if he has money at stake there is a potential conflict of interest down the line. imo it is best for fsu to have no financial interest in the outcome of a match he is moderating.
Look at it this way. Say you knew the referee of the superbowl had $2K riding on the outcome. Would this be OK with you? What if you knew he was a priest with a history of outstanding morality and know with 100% certainty he will try and ignore his personal financial incentive when officiating? |

[/ QUOTE ] not a good example. a ref actions during the game affects the outcome of the superbowl greatly. a mods involvement might not even be needed |
