Of course, I'm still so elated about the Phils that this game is just kind of sliding off me. [/ QUOTE ] i feel pretty much the same way. although I know that "[censored], the Eagles are 1-3." is going to hit me eventually. McNabb looked so... injured. At least half of those sacks he could have scrambled out of if he were anywhere near as mobile as he is capable of being. Oh, and Winston Justice was [censored] horrible. |

This team is not good. Im tired of Reid and McNabb. [/ QUOTE ] what exactly would you like to see? I'm asking this question seriously, since Reid and McNabb have led the Eagles to so much success. would you rather throw Kevin Kolb into a trial by fire and just give this year up? This team can still make it to 9 wins and a WC spot if they get healthy. |

Id rather see that than what I have seen so far this year in the Eagles 3 losses. The team always looks like it doesnt care, and then you take Westbrook and/or Dawkins off the field and not a single person seems to care. I honestly would rather they suck for this year or maybe a couple years so that they can rebuild. I especially want this in the East, where every other team just looks better and better.

I disagree with Hoyas that this Eagles team is bad, and I disagree that it's time to ditch Reid and McNabb.
But I do agree that McNabb doesn't seem to care enough. I'm sure he does care, but he doesn't show it. Whatever IT is, Brady has IT. Manning has IT. Garcia has IT. From what little I've seen of Kolb, he has IT. McNabb does not have IT. |

Re: *Official* Philadelphia E-A-G-L-E-S Thread (2007-2008)
Winston Justice put in perhaps the worst performance by an offensive lineman I've ever seen. By my count during the game (in a crowded bar), he was flagged for two penalties, gave up six sacks and was responsible for a running play that was blown up for a loss of four yards. My god.
What on Earth was the coaching staff thinking leaving him on an island play after play? When the Eagles shifted some help his way, the offense had some success. When he was alone, they couldn't do anything. I understand that the vast majority of the playbook does not have an extra blocker on the left side because the Eagles feel comfortable leaving Tra/William Thomas alone. But at some point you have to just say, "ok we're running PlayXYZ, but Celek, instead of lining up on the right and running a curl, go on the left side and block." Is it really that hard to adjust a play to include an extra blocker? Justice single handidly lost this game. |

But really, back in, say early April who would have put money on the fact that of the 3 running QB's: Daunte, McNabb, Vick, Daunte would have the biggest day? lol. I know that doesn't make much sense but bah!! Is the golden age of "running" QB's over? I mean these running QB's have like a 5 year window when they break in to have full utilization of their legs and arm. THat is just too little time to win a ring. Donovan just isn't as effective as he once was. That's why dudes like Jon Kitna, Brad Johnson, Drew Bledsoe, etc. fare well in their 30's. Not like they all won rings in their 30's but I just don't know if banking on a franchise running QB is worth it. |
