i LOVED your room when you were spreading 40/80 LHE but since then i havent been back. i am moving to NLHE so i was wondering what limits are spread on a nightly basis? also, will i be given a safe deposit box in the poker room with no hassle?

This weekend these were the games spread: 4/8, 8/16, 15/30 LHE, 2/5, 5/10, and had a 10/20 NLHE game going too.

Do they do a 1/2 NL Holdem game at all? Or just the 2/5 and up?

Most of their tables are usually 1/2NL with a $200 max (center row when you walk in). 2/5 with 1K max is usually on 3-4 tables (right side, along the front wall), with the rest being 4/8 (left row and right row alongside the 1/2 tables).

Great thread.
My wife and I have always stayed at the Bellagio because that's the poker room I play in when in LV. After reading very positive comments about the Venetian here on 2+2, we checked it out in hopes of staying somewhere different next time out. As soon as we walked into the casino area, we looked at each other and I said, no way. I couldn't stand the smell - no allergic reaction or anything, just found it overpowering and bad. Sucks because I really loved the look and laid-back feel of the poker room.

So does this mean they've ditched the 2/4 limit? When I was last there in November they had just started spreading 2/4 (they laid off a bunch of dealers the same time). They told me it was an experiment. Please please tell me they killed it - I'd much rather the fishies not have 2/4 as an option.

Over New Year's, they had 3-4 $2-$4 tables running.

I loved the place overall. I was another one of the group that refused to stay at the Venetian because of no poker room, and will actively try to stay there in the future. Until reading these posts, I didn't even notice the air freshener at all, and I generally am sensitive to smells, so take that for what you will. A well run room that I hope is successful.

Hard to say on a general basis, but the 2/5 NL crowd didn't seem nitty to me, though I only sat down for a short while. (I'm more of a limit player.) Friends said that the 2/5 was a good game.
