Stock market mainly.

I am a finance/investing major, but am only a freshman. What does this mean? It means I am basically dense about the stock market still.

So I invest in some Blue Chip companies, some Vanguard ETF's, and some other ETF's. I put other minimal amounts of money(usually under 1k) into big movers sometimes when I hear/lookup good advice or think the company has a future. Unfortunately I am not very good at this and have barely made any money doing this. So my main portfolio is actually in lower risk things because I feel it would be dumb for me to try and beat the market when I am so uneducated about it. What I do know is the market trends upwards and that is all I need to know [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I trade with Zecco.com. It was free but has recently moved to like $4 a trade but since they will offer many more features for actually finding good companies and I might actually start to use these resources when I learn what they mean, I don't mind it much. (Run-on sentences are fun)

Try this program, it greatly improves the space usage of Stars:

WATCH E*Trade. It recently was reported that it has a 15% chance of filing bankruptcy(I think Citigroup gave this advice, which is funny because they have some financial problems). This has made the stock drop considerably. I haven't looked into it, but it may be a buy right now if you want to risk. I am considering it.

That isn't the real reason though. E*Trade offers a checking account with 4% interest if you have over $5,000 in the account. It offers unlimited free ATM withdrawals(it pays back the $2.50 fees of any ATM you use), as well as checks and a debit card. ING Direct is a good option for savings accounts as well if you want more liquidity than CDs.

I had some other things on mind since I use this thread as my pseudo well post since I have never done one, so if I think of them I will write them in here sometime.
