Re: ~~~ OFFICIAL YANKEES 2007 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS OR BUST THREAD ~~
Great game, but Vizcaíno in the eighth with a nine-run lead? WTF? Seriously, WTF? Can anyone even pretend to defend that one? Anyone? In the last four days he's come into games with leads of five, six and nine runs.
Dumb and Dumber on the radio while Vizcaíno was in there (paraphrasing): Sterling: Rivera pitched yesterday, so he probably doesn't need any work today. Waldman: Do you think Vizcaíno will pitch the ninth also then? Sterling: No. There's no reason to use him for two innings with a nine-run lead. |

asdahsdhasdhadshasdh mike myers you are taking up a roster spot to get lefties out not give up 0-2 doubles [/ QUOTE ] Mike Myers goes to 3-0 on the season! Woohoo! W's... now there's a revealing statistic. Didn't get to see the game... was working ... but still, so happy A-Rod finally hit 500. Not to mention, Betimit seems to be getting off on the right foot with NYY, and Cano and Abreu are absolutely mashing the ball. Cano's average has gone up from .265 to .311 since July 1! |

Joba threw two innings of relief tonight for Scranton. One hit and five strikeouts. In three relief appearances he's thrown four innings with 10 strikeouts, no walks and one hit.

FREE JOBA! I love the news. I was informing my friend about Joba who is a Met fan and he was just laughing at me. HE WILL SEE! JOBA WILL SHOW HIM!

Re: ~~~ OFFICIAL YANKEES 2007 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS OR BUST THREAD ~~
This might be jumping the gun a bit but do you think they might be grooming Joba to become the heir apparent to Rivera. IIRC Rivera's contract ends this year but has a one year team option.

Re: ~~~ OFFICIAL YANKEES 2007 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS OR BUST THREAD ~~
Well I agree with Rube, but I wouldn't mind either one. If Edwar becomes the closer, Joba can be setup or move back to starter?
Wang Hughes Chamberlin Throw in Santana. Could be very exciting. I'm so happy the Yankees are finally producing some solid players out of their farm. It feels so much better to have a product of the rather rather than a sign or trade, but with Santana I could care less. I'm a little disappointed with Eric Duncan though, I thought he would be playing a lot better and possibly MLB ready. |
