After discussing it with 3 posters here, that post a lot more frequently than me on here, I decided to post this in this thread.

As you all know, FionnMac had his chat permabanned. I don't really care, I was just happy he stopped tapping the glass/berating the fish.
It started when we played a completely standard hand and he sent me a PM about it on here.

As you can see, he is slightly berating me, while he does not even know my hand. I ask what hand he is reffering to and he sends me the hand in a pm (hand is from his perspective.)

Example hand, he min raises utg, i pump it up with aces, he calls. Flop A-8-5 rainbow, he insta bets pot i call. Turn is Q, he insta bets pot again. I push, he calls with J-10o. River is a king!!! Argh god, poker sucks sometimes, i should have taken like 2k of this guy if i could catch one decent hand!! Sorry, i just needed to vent

I decided to be friendly and told him my hand. I had 99. This isn't something I do a lot, but I don't see how it can be a bad play from time to time, since I fold out a lot of hands that beat me, and if I don't, I am not commited, and I'm sure it works postively in some kind of image way.

Ok thanks for taking the time to explain your thoughts. No offence, but i think you played the turn very poorly indeed, and i'll explain why -

I am utg+1, oop vs a fish, my range is much tighter than usually. That guy was a huge calling station nightmare to play against oop so i had to tighten up alot. My range is like any pair, AK, AQ, AJ, KQ. Normally utg+1 i would open alot more hands, good suited connectors, A-10s, KJo, K-10s, J-10 etc. When i bet the flop, obviously my range is pretty big, i bet with almost all my range. However, when you call the flop and the turn is an ace, my betting range is ALOT smaller. Pocket pairs that didn't make sets i would almost always check behind (though i may decided to turn 33/55 into a bluff and bet. So basically my betting range is this -
AK,AQ,AJ
Sets (AA, 88, 44, 22)
Occasionally small pairs as a bluff.
KQ

So let's have a look at what i fold to your raise...KQ and 33/55(sometimes) The range that i call/push with is MUCH bigger, and that is why your play is definitely -EV imo. I think a standard line would be to c/c flop and c/f turn, maybe sometimes calling, but raising is suicide.

if you're still not convinced, would you mind if i posted the hand from your perspective (or you can if you wish)?

I think it's a load of bs, and I actually feel like I'm tapping the glass now (for only 2% of the forum, obviously) that he does not fold any A there. First of all, there is the beloved baluga theorem, and second of all, stacking off with an A there generally sucks, hence the theorem. I thought he could have air a good % of the time too, since it is a perfect second barrel card. Whatever. I'm 100% on the fact that everybody here makes this play sometimes. I PMed a poster/player I respect a lot, and he basically said it was standard to do this from time to time, and if it doesn't work, and you 'get caught', you get crazy action anyway. I agree.

I tell him I will add him on msn, but forget to do it.

I know I'm not the best player or even close to it, but what was I supposed to do. I don't have odds for a set, but I assume I do not always need one, either. Again, standard as hell, I think.

I get this pm, which I think is way out of line, even if I'm not a respected poster here. I'm also not really a leech, since I only lurk this specific thread, as I am too lazy to read/post in other ones, which explains why I am a borderline winner and why I suck so much. I also don't see him sending this pm to anyone else on this forum, for a hand like this (not that he should send a pm for any hand. I think it's pretty surreal that he does)

FionnMac, don't pm me. It's logical as hell. If I played the hand allright, you have nothing to say, and if I didn't, you shouldn't say anything. It baffles me that you do not seem to understand that. Not that I have to defend myself, as I have no credit or rep or whatever here in any way, but in case you're wondering : I know I'm a donk sometimes. We all are. I played 200k hands in May for that stupid highroller (not worth it, not even slightly, btw), playing 666 tables for 777 hours a day, so I actually think my winrate is ok and my play was too, under the circumstances. I also only started playing cashgames in the middle of february. You have probably noticed that I took the time to change your screenname which you asked me not to out. I felt like leaving it there but I'm not that kind of guy. I keep my cool, even if people piss me off terribly. I don't know about poker, but I'm 100% on the fact that you can learn from me on that level.
