Re: Official SSSH LC/NC Thread for October!
So, this is one of the first hands I played when taking a shot at 2/4:
PokerStars 2/4 Hold'em (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Preflop: Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 2 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, SB calls, BB calls. Flop: (6 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, BB bets, Hero raises, SB folds, BB calls. Okay, so he as diamonds (donk on 2 flush board is about 90% flush draw.) Turn: (5 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) BB checks, Hero bets, BB raises, Hero 3-bets, BB calls. Okay, maybe he doesn't. He has A8? Nah, he has diamonds. River: (11 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) BB checks, Hero checks. Well, there is no point in betting when he won't call with his diamond draw. Final Pot: 11 BB Results in white below: BB has 5d 2d (high card, ace). Hero has As Td (one pair, aces). Outcome: Hero wins 11 BB. FTOP perfect. After he says that he misclicked on the turn. Ya right buddy. I'm not sure why I decided to take the spew line on the turn. I guess I just thought that once you get past 1/2, turn raises actually start to mean less than 2 pair more often. This theory hasn't worked as well lately though. This one is for miles. PokerStars 2/4 Hold'em (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Preflop: Hero is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 1 fold, MP calls, CO raises, 2 folds, Hero calls, MP calls. Flop: (6.50 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero checks, MP checks, CO checks. Turn: (3.25 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets, MP calls, CO folds. River: (5.25 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, MP bets, Hero raises, MP calls. Final Pot: 9.25 BB Results in white below: Hero has 9d Ts (two pair, tens and nines). MP has 7h Ah (one pair, aces). Outcome: Hero wins 9.25 BB. |

More fun against 2/4 LAGs:
PokerStars 2/4 Hold'em (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Preflop: Hero is CO with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 2 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, SB calls, BB calls. Flop: (6 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, SB calls, BB raises, Hero 3-bets, SB folds, BB calls. 2 flush theory again. Remember when aces were scare cards? Those were the days. I actually don't mind his play here. I mean, if he wasn't playing almost every hand and raising half of those, I wouldn't mind his play. Turn: (6.50 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls. River: (8.50 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) BB checks, Hero checks. Final Pot: 8.50 BB Results in white below: BB has 3d 2d (high card, ace). Hero has Jh Js (one pair, jacks). Outcome: Hero wins 8.50 BB. |

Raising protects my hand against the SB's numerous gutshots. SB was the type of guy to donk an A as well. Heads up I might just call down and let him bluff that river, because that's what I would do with an A as well. |

He would have raised a T on that flop 100% of the time and now he expects me to believe he actually would play it passively. Notice the bluff call as well. How does he think that river changes anything? |

Good read, though. |
