Wide angle lens, it makes things look farther away than they are.

Ever seen a pic where someone's head looks huge, but they have little baby feets? Same thing.

All,

I'm wearing a tan-ish sport coat and a similarly-but-not-too-similarly colored dress shirt. The flash really washed everything out. I'm 6'3, so, yeah, it's a fair distance to the ground. I'm just using a plain digital camera w/ no special wide angle lens.

Note: While not extreme wide or anything, point 'n shoot cameras start their zoom range somewhat wide to be able to get a group shot and so on.
