Hafner should get the start at 1b today. That said the line has shifted so I doubt there's any value on CLE

i saw you had another thread about excel questions, but i can't seem to find it

i was wondering where you get the mlb data you import into excel? do you use dougstats or another site? i like dougstats, but its not that in depth, was wondering if there's another one out there

thanks

I used dougstats.com for historic MLB data... I used them for hitting stats from 2006 and pitching from 2004-2006. That info isn't going to change, so I throw that all in a historic tab in Excel. Each team then has their own current stats tab. I populate those tabs with data that I pull from espn.com using Data -> Import External Data -> New Web Query... I recommend Hardball Times for more advanced stats. I recommend you use the same approach separating out historic stats vs. this season stats so you have an easier time updating your data with new information.

Two extremely frustraing night games turn a potentially profitable night into a big loser... As the Dodgers find a way to screw me over two nights in a row!

Updated YTD:
99.86 units wagered
+15.49 units
+15.5% ROI

To put things into perspective, however, despite this recent downswing we've approached 100 units wagered and so far this system is doing much better than I had initially hoped.

oops! I already had KC in this game as one of Crock's picks, then got drunk last night and decided I wanted more action today so I bet it again, on the PHI side. A hot -133/+130 reverse arb.

gl in the afternoon games

Whoops, haha I've done the same thing several times as well. I'm now extra careful to run down other poster's picks and weed out the ones that I've already bet. Occassionally I knowingly bet the other side at +1.5 if I can get it at a favorable price.

SFG has been torture to sweat this series. I can't tell if Oakland pitching is that good or San Francisco hitting is that bad. Can we please score a run??

Annoying end to that Padres game
Way to waste a leadoff double in bottom of the 8th, Seattle at least showed them how to get that runner home in the 9th..
