I just got the option as well, but upon loading it from my bank card i was DENIED. Although it says "You may receive a call from your bank regarding this transaction. Don't worry, it'll read as accepted on our end." WTF?

Money is not there, and now the option is gone.

This almost seems to fall into the "too good to be true" category.

When you click on "Why?" next to the personal security information part of the form you get-

".... We require all of this information to be fully compliant with US Patriot Act regulations and OFAC. This data is maintained by us and we will not disclose this information to any commercial third parties." - emphasis added by me

This may be boiler plate legalese, I don't know well enough to tell, but it made me squirm a bit.

So my initial giddiness has been tempered by my ever growing paranoia.

**OFAC = Office of Foreign Assests Control, US Treasury

I thought this was kind of weird.
I e-mailed them to change my middle-initial (they assign you one randomly evidently) and also asked why I couldn't deposit on other sites like bodog, WSEX and FTP.

Their response:

"your payTru pre-paid card can be used at the
site in which you signed up for it and any where Visa is accepted. However,
we do not approve gaming transactions."

Ummm, does PokerStars not count as a gaming transaction?
Weird.

Has anyone not been offered the card at this point?

Because I haven't and I don't see any new posts about it in a while.

I have not. It's more than slightly irritating.

Checked it right before that post. 5 mins later it's there. Applied for the card, 10-14 days til it gets here. Is there any way to load the card without a credit card? If not I'll just use it to withdraw, and never deposit.
