I accidently grabbed "light" coconut milk today. I didn't notice until I got it home, "how the [censored] do you make light coconut milk?" I asked myself. Well, near as I can tell you fill the can up half way with coconut milk and fill the rest with water! Shenanigans!

The frozen Naan was pretty great though.

madeira beef stew was just ok.

both of their new 100 calorie snack packs (oatmeal chocolate chip, some kind of chocolate wafer thing) are great.

tomorrow morning, before i leave for work, I will smear the boneless leg of lamb that I bought at tj's with a couple of the the tj's cubes of minced garlic, some rosemary from my garden, some s&p and some tj's extra virgin olive oil. then I will brown the roast on all sides, pour in a cup of vermouth (that I bought at tj's) and some beef stock (which tj's does not carry ) I will then transfer the whole thing to a crock pot, add some of tj's potato's, carrots, celery and onions, set the crock pot on low and go to work. when i get home, I'll have to de-fat the broth and thicken with cornstarch (non-tj's).

How is it that you're buying dolmas and you're surprised that they're labelled "dolmas" ?

Okay, I hadn't heard of TJ's until this post. Lo and behold, there is one about 10 miles from campus.

However, I have a tight budget. I am a rather poor college student. I am trying to eat healthy and am willing to increase my budget slightly if this is worth it.

Give me an idea of the difference shopping at TJ compared to a CostCo or grocery store would be.

Thanks!

Cheaper! Stay away from their fresh meat and you are good to go. Pretty much everything else you will find will be less expensive that the supermarket, mostly better as well.
