When you squint your eyes at a light and it gets all blurry, I used to think that made it blurry for everyone else also. Forget what age.

My 12 year old cousin asked my aunt what things were like before color. She was confused at first, then realized that he'd been watching the Andy Griffith show in Black and White, and he thought that's the way everything looked in the past. Her and my mom called it cute, I call it a 12 year old with a learning disability.

-I thought that when I closed my eyes or turned away, everyone else dissapeared.
-I also thought that I could see through things (like my hand) by blurring my eyes and getting double vision.
-I thought that my mom knew everything, until I was 13 or 14, when she told me something and I got in a huge fight with my friends about it. She was wrong.
-I thought that opinions cant be wrong. They can.

Weird part... When I was between 2 and 4 yrs old, I would often describe in extreme technical detail how to pilot my dead grandfather's airplane. (He had died when my father was 7yrs old) It was in such technical detail that my uncle freaked out, thought I was possessed or reincarneted or something. I got a super high fever at age 4 and never spoke like that afterwords.

I saw a 60 minutes special (or some similar show) and found it very neat as the kid who did the same things as you did was probably (if you believe in it) a person who crashed a plane in the Pacific in WWII...he knew his friends names, etc...so much detail. They said a few kids have this happen but stop at about the age you did. Very neat story.

As far as this thread i used to think that vaginas were on the front (like bellybutton) of women

Great thread.

When I was a kid I used to think "The Wonder Years" and to a lesser extent "Happy Days" were old reruns originally filmed and aired in their supposed time periods.

That reminds me: I used to think you had two options at the grocery. You could pay, or you could use a credit card, and get everything for free.

When we'd ask for a toy, and my mom would say we couldn't afford it, we'd counter, "But you can use your credit card!"

[/ QUOTE ]

I thought the same thing about checks and didn't understand why they didn't pay for everything with them (about 4 years old).

When I was about 10, I kept hearing "don't drink and drive" everywhere. I thought you couldn't drink and drive because you might get into an accident when you tilted your head up to drink.

I yelled at my dad when I was 11 when he was drinking a coke while driving.
