[ QUOTE ] My SN? I have so many I can't remember But if I ever find you, we shall dance sir. [/ QUOTE ] Oohhh ... but Giggle ... you no like your good old buddy no more ?? I mean ... I am so friendly and charming .... you can't be scared no ? [/ QUOTE ] Of course I like you. You're a very good poster and probably one of the better players at your limits due to your BR issues. It's not a 'I want to get you coz I don't like you', it's a case of wanting to measure myself against good players. And I love playing against your style. I'd imagine you're better than me so I'll keep the small advantage of knowing who you are whilst you won't know who I am. |

Re: The Well: QFGelfordness
I only have a view of the 100-200NL scene, but I really do not know
Most of the winning players and 2+2'ers here are vanilla tags, that mind their own business and just feed of the fish, but you barely notice them. And I've played too little 400NL and above to know the Star players. But basically, what usually happens is that are some tags at the table and one of two fish. I strive to have position on the fish and play a lot of pots with them and hopefully bust 'em, while the tags wait for cards. But honestly, after my transition period, where I would seek out tough tables and try to outplay the good players, I now a days avoid the regs and look for known fish and unknowns. But a good lag is infinetely more annoying than any 2+2 vanilla tag. |

Re: The Well: QFGelfordness
yeah i agree, i dont mind tags that mind their own business too much. I usually leave the table if theres a good lag/tricky tag (quite rare in my experience), unless there are really bad players at the table.

My biggest leak was not threebetting light ... I discovered it on returning to cash from sngs recently and believe it was one of the biggest reasons I didn't beat 50NL for more than 2ptbb last time around. (somewhere in the first months of 2006) [/ QUOTE ] I am very interested to hear why you think three-betting light is so important. |

It is a moneymaker on its own, since you get folds most of the time, especially if villians are on the nitty side ... and cbetting post flop is cheap, as you only have to bet around half pot. 2. It protects your good hands, suddenly when you threebet AA, you are getting action ... some have a notion of extraction and disgusing AA by smoothcalling AA pf, but the truth of the matter is, that you get more value by adding air to your 3betting range instead. |
