That`s probably true although I do not really get your logic here.

On which bit? The sample bias side? It's because people are more likely to read and post in these threads if their winrates are good at the moment. That's because people want to be seen to be doing well - you don't see many "I'm losing over the past 50k hands" posts here or in the November thread, but those guys exist, and they post here. Therefore, it's a reasonable assumption to state that anyone posting their win rate in this thread is more likely to be running better than their "true" rate than running worse than.

Just because 8PTBB/100 winners with a small sample size are more apt to post here this does not mean that one of them is more likely to be running better than what would be theoretically expected.

Thats how it goes. I barely won a cent over my last 50K+ hands of limit (20000$ swings though). Glad there is NL.

I find your 200NL posts amusing. You played a couple of days at 200NL right?

honestly anyone who can't make $100k a year is either a really bad player, or someone who doesn't have dedication.

the thing that i've been trying to work on is just getting the hands in. there's so many times where i just don't feel like playing, like poker is just a perpetual grind and i don't have any motivation to keep putting in 4 hrs every day.

If anyone here could play 40 hrs a week, then u can EASILY make lots and lots of $$$. Running at like 3ptbb/100 u can make $250 an hour on 2/4 NL... so seriously $100k is only 400hrs = 8 hrs a week.

Making more and more gets more difficult due to the mental stress involved with playing 5 hrs of poker every day, but THEORETICALLY any decent TAGbot could make 500k even on NL400

What about variance/luck? I used to play exclusively limit since about 1 month ago. I am convinced that there is at least a 10% chance that even a very good mid/high stakes player will loose money over a huge number of hands (>100k)in limit.
