and lol @ Rahme calling with 8-8 on a A-Q-9-7-7 board. This is why I stopped saying "good call" to calling stations in live games....they're confused because they think it's the easiest call in the world with 2nd or 3rd pair. [/ QUOTE ] That's exactly why I keep saying "good call" to those players. |

Is it just me, or do others think that Scotty looked old and tired (even when he was winning)? Plus, his hair looked way greasier than usual.

[/ QUOTE ] What I thought was sad was that he failed to remove the cardboard from the crown of his hat, and since he kept taking it off and smoothing down his hair, the cardboard piece started to fall out. You can see it on his forehead in his bust-out hand. |

Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (10/2 - Day 6)
I think we need to focus some more on Tran's bustout hand than on Scotty's meltdown. Tran seems to be getting a walk because of the way that Scotty went out. I don't have all the details of Tran's last hand right now so if someone could put it up here so we can dissect...

I don't have all the details of Tran's last hand right now so if someone could put it up here so we can dissect... [/ QUOTE ] tran has Q 10, Kalmer has A 8 of clubs. Not sure of preflop action but Tran has position. flop comes somethingn like 10 6 3 with two clubs. Kalmer check calls a 1/2-2/3 pot bet. turn is offsuit and gives Kalmer a guttie. maybe a 9. Kalmer check calls 2/3 pot. From the video it looks like Kalmer is check calling rather quickly. River is a 2 of clubs and Kalmer moves in for about a pot size bet. maybe a little more than pot, not positive. Tran puts him on 77 or 88 (he's talking out loud) before he calls. Also, from the video it looks like Kalmer goes all in on river rather quickly. edit - i only watched it once and this is from memory. so if i got anything wrong, please correct me. |
