I meant to come into this thread earlier to say that I really don't understand the adoration heaped on Yuengling. I'll admit that it is a serviceable beer in a green bottle, but man is it overhyped.

[/ QUOTE ] Well, I used to agree about the rice thing, but some point I realized I was drinking a lot of Amberbock because it is damn good for the price. I have now dismissed the fact that it is rice brewed and a total bastardization of the "bock" category. It's a cheap and tasty brew. I guess I feel the same about Kronenbourg, but I actually haven't had a bottle in 3 years+, so I'll back peddle a bit until I have another evaluation. I also haven't had this one in some time but remember liking it alright: |
