Not exactly. Last year (his best year) he hit .271 vs LH with 2 HRs. He is doing better this year though. Fox is only on the roster until Soriano comes back and Monroe isn't a huge upgrade over Murton, at least offensively. I think all this move does is take playing time away from Matt.

Can Monroe play CF so the Cubs can go Murton/Monroe instead of Jones/Floyd vs. LHP?

I read that he has played some center field, so yeah that may be something you end up seeing quite a bit. Let's hope so, at least, if he is indeed capable in center.

im the one who runs the treadmill for us, and yes i did forget, these storms up here in the north made it very unpleasant to leave my apartment and go to the gym- its still wicked outside here, sirens goin off everywhere
