true story: 25bb donk sucks out on me 3 times within a couple of orbits to run his stack up to 140bb. the hand immediately after the third one, i get aa on the btn and it's his bb. i raise and say out loud to myself 'the only way poker is fair is if he has kk here'. he then min3bets me and i'm like 'holy [censored] no way!!!' because that's how donks play their big pairs.

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $193.50
BB: $286.45
UTG: $198.00
CO: $208.45
Hero (BTN): $370.00

Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 Players)
2 folds, Hero raises to $7.00, SB folds, BB raises to $12.00, Hero raises to $38.00, BB calls $26.00

Flop: ($77) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero bets $60.00, BB raises all-in to $248.45, Hero calls $188.45

Turn: ($573.90) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players - 1 All-In)

River: ($573.90) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players - 1 All-In)

Pot Size: $573.90 ($3 Rake)

BB had K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (a pair of Kings) and LOST (-$286.45)
Hero had A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (a pair of Aces) and WON (+$284.45)

so there you have it - irrefutable proof that poker is, indeed, fair.

I was doing some thinking about 'fake-misclicks'.

This is basically when you have a very strong hand, and make an abnormally sized bet. This is done with the hopes your opponent will sense come kind of weakness and try to push you off your hand, or call down with a less marginal holding than they usually would.

Anyways, I was thinking of some ways you could exploit people in this way and came up with something pretty sneaky.

Now, I'm sharing because it wont really work well at my limits -- it's much better at 25NL or 50NL. It's also just an idea, I don't advocate using this! Also forgive me if this is painfully standard, as I havn't played these limits for some time.

Now, in order for this to work, you need to have at least 101bb's at the table. It's also ideal when you have a few limpers in front of you.

So let's say you're playing 25NL and pick up AA on the button. Two limpers toss in thier .25$ and its to you. Instead of making a standard raise, you now raise to $25.25.

When it gets back to the limpers (or even the BB), they will see the option to call "$25", instead of "$.25".

Also, when you raise, you're only putting 2 chips in (the $25 and the $.25 chip), just like if you were minraising (2 $.25 chips). This is the key, and why it wont work as well at my limits.

It's very easy for your opponents to mistake this raise for a simple min-raise, and call off thier stack with trash. Hell, you might even get two callers with your aces!

I havn't tested this, but I think it could interesting.

[/ QUOTE ]

Another one that I almost fell for when 12-tabling is raising to an amount that looks like a shortstack moving all-in preflop at first glance.

For example, NL200 you hold AA on the button, 1 limper, CO makes it $10, now you make it something abstract like $38.55 and sucker him into flat-calling with a bunch of marginal hands.
