aceCR9, how many tables do you play? could you give a little background on your poker career? [/ QUOTE ] lot of FR played 25nl-100nl from sept 05-june 06, wasnt that good(soo nitty passive) but made a profit. won a 16k in 2 donkaments in 4 day span, insta 20k roll, and i started moving up very quick. joined Cardrunners week i won that money, learned a ton in the next month as i was moving up. played 5/10 FR on PokerRoom, was break even @ 1st due to moving up way to quickly, eventually got better tho. probably was late august 06. I played 10/20(PokerRoom then bodog and FTP) for a few months last Oct-Dec, but wasn't properly rolled for it, and pretty much lost everything I had made @ 5/10+, played low for a few months, took march+april off, 45k donkament score in may--) moved back up. didn't play a ton of hands during the summer, did get into HU play where I won @ a decent rate. but the variance was too much. back playing mostly FR now- but i will play any rly soft table(HU/6m/FR) If I am playing 2/4 I will 10 table, if I am playing 5/10 I will play all the tables going, and I always start new ones(hence where the HU/SH experience helps a lot), there are never more than 8 FR 5/10 going, and normally 8 wont last for more than a hour during peak times. I can say that one thing that fueled this heater was moving down due to a break even stretch and trying out some different stuff. my game now is not what it is even a month ago, and I think its improved quite a bit. I also started reviewing more hands in PT, rly looking @ different stats, how I compare to others, etc. I don't use PAH, so in the past I never really used PT much beyond checking my $$ won, hourly rate, etc. I had fallen into some bad habits(especially when I wasnt running good), and hopefully Ive fixed those. |

Re: *** Official October Chat Thread: The Purple Goose ***
stars is rigged. I did play stars mid stakes earlier this year, and am a Supernova there(in like 2 months, lol)
Ive had some bad experiences(lost 10k when a site basically folded) with small sites, so right now I will take a hit in profit to play on a site where I know my money is safe(ftp or stars r the only 2 100% safe IMO). |

Re: *** Official October Chat Thread: The Purple Goose ***
fun way to get off tilt
also its amazing how many times you turn trips when you never ever fold a pair on the flop also its amusing how often they would c/c flop turn river with toppair even though I jammed every flop |
