[ QUOTE ] incompatibility of divine attributes imo [/ QUOTE ] Who wants a God that is easily explainable or without mystery? [/ QUOTE ] I want a God that can be explained rationally. I think believing in a God unconditionally is merely to re-align the values of faith and reason. Humans are naturally endowed with the capacity to reason, whether by design or a process of natural selection. To accept the existence of God unconditionally is to violently reject our capacity for reason and in doing so, displace the characteristic that makes us distinctively human. |

Christianity is not a non-rational belief system. Those who believe it is simply have never investigated it deeper than on the surface. Reason and the existence of God fit very well together. |

FACT: ![]() FICTION: ![]() [/ QUOTE ] Amazing how something so amazingly complex as even the simplest molecule is accepted as having no designer. No one looks at an airplane and assumes that a whirlwind went through a junkyard. My watch is fairly complex and no one thinks it just happened after millions of years. But the wrist upon which it sits is almost inifinitely more complex, yet we're willing to blindly accept it as the residue of mutations and adaptations. |

But not only is God holy, he's just. And, of course, infinite justice also rules out every single human, since allowing the guilty to go free is certainly not justice. What it is, is mercy. And God is also infinitely merciful. [/ QUOTE ] ![]() Source: here |

I've been berated by religious nonsense since I was young and have never believed a second of it. The only hope that I have for an afterlife is one where I am in a blank room where there stands a line of all you dumb religious bastards and I can go down one by one and spend eternity kicking every single one of you in the balls for being such an idiot.

I don't dislike you personally, I do however dislike people who try to prove religion. When you've been put through years of certain people trying so hard to preach to you about God and trying to make you believe it puts a sour taste in your mouth.
