LOL at all the regs bashing the poor college student for thinking NE wins by 2 TD'S or more.

Are you guys actively trying to discourage participation from newer members or what?

Like it's so ludicrous for him to say that...ffs give me a break. And it's not like he was being rude to anyone. He was just stating his opinion in a completely normal fashion.

kyro,
You predict a 10 point victory for the Pats, yet dude is out of his mind to think they win by 14?

I hope the Pats win by 30 now, and the college dude starts a new thread to call you [censored] conceded idiots out.

The most interesting x-factor that no one is talking about is Indianapolis' capability of making second half adjustments. The Patriots started blowing the Colts out in the AFC Championship game last year but the Colts made good adjustments and came back... IMO if the Colts are ahead at halftime they are very likely to win the game, the only way they lose is if NE can take the game away early

THere's a lot of strategy in football, and Bill Belichek and Peyton Manning are two of the best football thinkers in the game. Belichek brings out crazy play calls with weird highly complicated defensive looks, and Peyton will need to adjust.

I would be VERY surprised if the Patriots didn't have a sizable lead going into halftime, but that being said I think the Colts will stage a comeback of some kind in the second half, whether it will be enough remains to be seen

When teams start a possession inside their own 20, the NFL average for scoring TDs on those possessions is 13%.

The Indianapolis Colts are a tad better, at 16%.

The Patriots? 78.5%

sublime,

Ok I see what you're saying more clearly now.

You're correct that DVOA (or whatever) ---> actual points is not something that's published on the internet to use in sports betting, atleast not to my knowledge. So, in that sense, you can say it's not widely available. And then I would agree with you.

Watching ESPN, I'm already sick of the hype for this game, and I'm a Colts fan. Its incredible how they can ruin almost anything with absurd overexposure.

[/ QUOTE ]

Simple solution: stop watching ESPN.

No one is talking about it because no one cares about half time adjustments because they don't really exist.

Manning and the offense will spend 100+ hours gameplanning this week. Like they're going to make huge, sweeping changes in 15 minutes during halftime? Like you can't make those adjustments on the fly when your defense is on the field?
