This thread is just one big ego-circle-jerk-disguised-as-conspiracy-theory for all the high-limit players who ran badly/lost at Stars.

For those who actually think Stars is rigged and you play at high-stakes...that's adorable.

[/ QUOTE ]

Rigged isn't the concern. But when BK, Barron, Paluka, XXX, XXX and say they've gotten crushed at Stars something might be amiss.

[/ QUOTE ]

I haven't really been crushed there. I have broke even over long periods of time, which is probably pretty much what you would expect in tough games since I'm not as good shorthanded as many of the players in the game. When I looked at my stats the other day, the only thing that was really weird is that I was doing horribly with aces despite the fact that I didn't lose with them much. I would just steal blinds over and over and then once in a while lose.

[/ QUOTE ]

i on the other hand, got outclassed.

EDIT: to clarify, when i consitently multittabled the 1/2 games it would go like this: kick party's ass. beat inter. get crushed @ stars.

day in.

day out.

Tongni,

damn that is painful. I remember playing with you a bit during this stretch on stars and I remember putting at least one beat on you - sorry about that. I do think you were tilting though - there were a lot of hands where you were autobetting and autocalling down with ace high seemingly without any thought. I'm sure it'll all turn around for you soon enough.

Everyone else,
I play on stars a lot and am a winner. However, I have definitely gone through some SICKKK swings on there. It always seems like I am going through insane upswings or downswings in really really short periods of time.

Daryn,
What do you think of Donald and superpokemon? Both of them have won a TON recently. Donald owns me but I think pokemon sucks....

i think pokemon and donald both suck. i hear donald is a good player but i simply can't believe it. i've honestly never seen a hand played by him where i went, wow, nice play! i've only seen him capping offsuit 6 gappers and getting there, playing opposite poker (managing to put in the max bets with nothing yet $0 with the best hand) etc. etc.

i'd really be interested to see everyone's records, some kind of mass datamine

I'd think collusion would be rampant at stars' "big game". FWIW, I don't play at stars.

ive mentioned this to a few people...i want to ask, how could you not stop to re-evaluate either game quality, your play, opponents or take a break at

30k?
40k?
50k?
60k?
70k?
80k?
90k?
100k?
...

is 170k a magic number?? like the pi of downswings?

i was just curious...

i had a 28.5k downer multitabling one time and was floored...not a huge loss in terms of bbs but i stopped and re-evaluated for sure there. took a break to review some [censored] then get back at it...id be FREAKING OUT about my game or whats going on at 50k
