Biggest pot I've ever played. Yesterday.

20 40 NLH/PLO mixed game in the Commerce in Los Angeles. They have never spread this game before so nobody knows what they are doing. This is probably a good time for me to be passing through town with the money I have left from the WSOP.

I raise to $160 with Qs Ts 9d 6d. Two grumpy old guys call, one is a fish. Other fish repops to $800 from the BB. We all call.

Flop 9s 6s 2d. Check, I bet $3000, fold, fold, original raiser calls.

Turn Qc. He donks $3000. I go all in for $5000 more. He calls.

River 2h and he shows As Ah 4c 4d for a 5 outer on the river for a $25k pot.

Do they have a good VIP program that might be willing to push me ahead a few levels if I demonstrate that I'm high-volume? Is there an email I should try?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think with your volume you would get to Platinum quickly. Of course you'll have a bit of a slow start as it's harder to accumulate VPPs at Bronze and Silver. I started the month at Gold and have 5,000 VPPs for July. (4,400 hands; $1,094 MGR)

And like any site, good tables come and go. There will be times when there are better 1/2 or 2/4 tables than 5/10. The 5/10 tables often seem pretty nitty with a lot of less than full stacks.

Are any regs on here familiar with the HU games on FTP. I've dabled in a few of them but haven't really put a ton of hands up. How soft are the lower stakes HU tables? Anyone know of solid regs to stay away from? Appreciate any help.

That is brutal.

Brief trip report met Roundtower up here in Seattle with kyleb and we played 3/5 NL and chilled. Good times.

you'll figure out the hu regs pretty quickly, not sure how low you're playing. I think one of the big keys to being a hu winner is game selection.... it really isn't worth the rake/energy to play against a decent opponent. I'll pass up hu agaisnt players I think I have a small long-term edge against just because it takes so much of my concentration away from other games where I have a higher expectation.

Stars is refusing to up my deposit limits so they can chow on 'em.

Thanks. I heard you could email stars and get a larger deposit limit. Maybe that was for players that have played a decent amount on the site tho.

Also, I woulda won that prop bet. The guy got up to like $1,600 or so in a day or two and busted the account playing like 30/60 Razz I think. He said he wasn't trying real hard because nobody put a decent size bet against him, I still think its pretty hard to do. I did win some Razz lessons though so not all that bad.

Check out this fking hilarious hand.

Make sure you click the equity button to see the chance of everyone winning on the flop. That river card made me puke.
On the flop the winner had 1 out to HALF a pot, and could only scoop by hitting an 8 and a 6 on turn and river!
