You seriously think that the biggest danger to you is government?

[/ QUOTE ]

On an EV basis, no doubt.

[/ QUOTE ]

That we can debate, and still disagree . But you are more likely to be harmed/killed by a lot of other causes than by government, that I find almost to be unneccessary to debate.

[/ QUOTE ]

Your life is more likely to be negatively impacted by government action than any of those other things you mentioned. And incidentally, 57,000 men who died in Vietnam, most of which were drafted by the government against their will, might disagree with your assessment being beyond debate.

Dont forget, Slickss is European, and hence on the metric system. They measure in kilofeelings or something.

[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, make fun of the metric system. History lesson: The US measurement system was created in USA by the old-school, non-scientific engineers when the new engineers started preaching this so-called "knowledge" with the more accurate metric system that originated in Germany. Even NASA uses the metric system.

It's a good thing you live in Canada and I live in the U.S., I guess, although even in the U.S. there are many trying to subvert the rights and protections guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution/Bill of Rights.

INALIENABLE RIGHTS - what a concept. Maybe you should dwell on that for a little bit.

[/ QUOTE ]

did you have this in your mind?
"Stop throwing the Constitution in my face ... it’s just a goddamned piece of paper!" - G.W. Bush

I wasn't aware of that quote. Thank you for providing it. That's exactly the kind of attitude amongst many politicians (and perhaps some judges) that is subverting the Constitution.

You haven't come up with a good response to those; so far all you have is name calling (lunacy)

[/ QUOTE ]

Sorry, I really don't mean to be "name calling" by saying your statement was "lunacy". To be perfectly clear, I think you're smart and you're views add value to discussions and I appreciate you participation. I just think that you are quick to resort to slogans and invalid comparisons as a shield against challenges.

Calling an argument names isn't the same as calling a person names, but it's still no counterargument.

I accept this criticism and apologize and will try to do a better job of producing counterarguments or admitting I'm wrong rather than attaching labels to your arguments.
