Re: ***Official 2007 Philadelphia Phillies Thread***
Myers better be closing by, like, tonight.
Great win last night though. Anyone know where/if that Utley HR landed? |

GOGOGOGOGOGO Jamie Moyer.
Cabrera just broke up his no-hitter with 2 outs in the 7th by ripping a 3-1 double into left. 7ip, 1h, 0r, 1bb, 4k. We're starting to run more with 1 out which I like. I can understand not running with no outs because you want baserunners for Utley/Howard, but we need to be more aggressive with 1 and 2 outs. Rollins is 2/2 stealing today, and Victo and Utley both have steals as well. |

I loved today's game, especially the baserunning as PokerFink has pointed out. Every time I said it's a good time to go, they went.
Big series at Atlanta coming up. |

Great win today. Moyer is really anchoring this staff.
Pitching matchups for the Atlanta series Monday:Lieber vs. Hudson Tuesday: Hamels vs. Redman(Braves are pretty much conceding this game) Wednesday:Garcia vs. James I like our chances for two out of three. I'll probably be going to the Monday game. Go Phillies. |

Re: ***Official 2007 Philadelphia Phillies Thread***
Moyer is fantastic right now. I liked that we resigned him, because if nothing else, he should be able to help Hamels along. But what a bonus that he is pitching great.
Sucks that I couldn't watch the game today because we don't get UPN57 in State College. If he had gotten Cabrera out, I was going to register for MLB.TV's free trial to watch the 8th and 9th. Why did Alfonseca pitch the 9th in a 6-0 game? Was he already warming up to close? Why not throw Rosario in there? |

Re: ***Official 2007 Philadelphia Phillies Thread***
They were warming up Gordon when it was 3-0. After Dobbs' double, they switched to Alfonseca. I'm guessing due to Rosario getting shelled last night

Re: ***Official 2007 Philadelphia Phillies Thread***
Thats what I wanted to see, Gordon throwing good curve balls (well actually I didn't want to see Gordon at all, but I'll take it)
Huge manlove for Hamels. Here's to exploiting a depleted Braves bullpen tomorrow! |

Figures. I finally sit Howard in my fantasy league and he hits a 3 run shot. TANJ

Why the F would you send Victorino there? You need two runs, and threw away the bases loaded with no one out situation. NICE MOVE [/ QUOTE ] Why the F would you send Howard there? You throw away the bases loaded with no one out, and come away with nothing again. This team really frustrates me. |
