As there are more than 50 billion checks written every year in the US, I can't believe it's that simple.

[/ QUOTE ]

How many of those 50 billion originate from outside the US?

after some reading and the blackjack average info it seems like they have a very top heavy economy much like mexico. People are either really really rich or really poor and the in between is almost non existent. I don't know much about the china economy but I hear that it is an untapped gold mine often. I want to know the specifics of this theory if anyone has them.

Topheavy or no . . . what's .5% of a billion people?

Just go google china gdp or china average income.

Statistics showed that those with better education tend to earn more.

Among differently educated people, the group enjoying the highest incomes in the capital city (Beijing) in 2004 were master's and doctorate degree holders.

Their average annual income was 23,600 yuan (US$2,900) per person, according to figures released by the bureau.

I don't know.

In 2004, the Fed claims 36.7 billion paper checks and 44.5 billion electronic payments. Check use is actually declining. (In 2001, a Fed study had estimated 50 billion checks.)
This was the first year electronic payments exceeded paper checks.

Hi guys, Ive been a lurker of these boards for awhile, but I recently (1-17) used ECHeck to deposit on PokerStars and today I got an email from Nexum (the company that handles FTP) saying that my Echeck was declined and fees were gonna be charged. Is this something that everyone has recieved or just the "lucky" few. My situation in particular has got me worried, sorry if i am a bother, i dont mean to be, i'm just a worried college student who is losin some sleep.
