2+2er Nike Plus running group - who's in?

Despite the fact that I clearly am not the best at running, this challenge seems to be a very good thing for me. It is currently 32 degrees outside with small amounts of ice and snow on the ground, and yet I am going for a run. Without the challenge I'm not sure that I'd be quite this motivated.

5.8 miles at under 8:00/mile?!?! I can only dream. I would have died at least 7 times along the way. Hopefully by the end of this challenge I will work on my running endurance. I can hike 25 miles in one day with a 50 pound backpack, but I can't run more than a mile without stopping.

I haven't updated my runs in a while, but I don't expect to be first in this group, since I'm doing dual training (cycling + running). [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

Sweet, just got my Marware case. Now I'm most likely going to go tonight.

Just got back from a slow but steady run. Covered ~3 miles according to google ped/mapmyrun but my pedometer only measured 2.75. I'm going to head back to the track to check on its calibration and see if it's just that elevation gain is throwing it off (the first half of my run goes steadily uphill).

Oyah, I forgot. The impracticality is outweighed by the extra 3 calories you burn an hour which is immediately offset by the extra slice of pie they have with dinner.

i might join this running club. i do about 20km's a week which is probably 12-13 miles.

Yeah, I forgot to reply to that earlier, but going backwards on the elliptical has nothing to do with burning more calories. It's about working different muscles.
