I "taught" myself how to type about 20 years ago when I first started playing around with computers. I basically use about four fingers to type everything.

Finally decided it was time to learn how to touch-type properly, so I've been working on that a bit lately. In fact, I'm practicing right now!

Don't spend too much time on the opening. Even decent players over-prepare, and after dozens of hours maybe some of these lines will be played once. If you just learn a very little bit on the opening and try to put your [censored] on good squares you should be ok.

Hone your tactics, and play over games by stronger players. Basically every idea you think of while playing you have seen before. The more games you have seen, the more ideas you are exposed to, and the more you will be able to apply to your own games.

I'm trying to learn boxing, and in preperation started lifting. Doing bunch of things like pushups, weighted pullups, and stuff. In only a month I can get 9 pullups with a 14 pound belt on, which I'm pleased with.

is it really that tough? I could never whistle when I was younger, and after I got my wisdom teeth pulled I got a big gap in my front teeth which I feel has made it even harder.

I picked up the Bobo, and also got "Expert at the Card Table" by Erdnase, I just started though, and I'm already hooked.

Two things that are on my list to learn that haven't been mentioned yet: ice sculpting, and throwing a baseball, because I throw like a girl and don't want to let down any potential children I may have.

Currently working on the following skills:

1. Passing classes, has been a problem for me in the past, but I am doing pretty well at it the last couple quarters. Will start my final year for my BS in the fall hopefully.

2. NL Poker, I used to grind 3/6-10/20 LHE, but I luckily emptied my Neteller account when UIGEA got passed and took a break. I made my first deposit about 6 weeks ago and I am really struggling with turn and river play.
