Default Randy Johnson

Stick a fork in him? Totally ineffective against a crippled A's team. WTG Dan Haren! Great performance today.

why do the Yankees keep throwing money at OLD pitchers who are about to retire in a few years and whose best years are CLEARLY behind them?

ex: Randy Johnson, Kevin Brown, etc.

Not sure that answer to that question. But I do know that they will throw lots of money at Barry Zito next year.

another nice win today, looks like we're really starting to get rolling, and are scoring some runs.

Also, can we get apologies from all the zito haters out there? Prospectus has him as the 12th best pitcher in baseball by vorp right now.

I've always been a Zito apologist. His numbers are truely outstanding if you throw out his horrible first start against the Yankees. Throw in the fact that he never, NEVER gets injured and the guy is money.

Why would the A's trade Zito?
