Turn: (5.75 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)

I so hate losing the 2nd nut. Especially when it's top set on a low paired rainbow board.

i played in a freeroll last night. it's one of those for an entry into some 500K tourney. it was a 54 player tournament i think.

so i get to the final two after about an hour. i had pretty much been owning this person, so i felt like i had a pretty decent psychological edge just from that. i had also been playing pretty damn solid, making some really good calls and mixing up my play really well. i had also been raising seemingly erratic(but calculated) amounts with various hands with a wide range of values.

and then there was this last hand:

i had about 55K in chips. villain was around 26K. blinds are 1200/2400 i think.

villain completes in the sb/button. i minraise to 4800 in the bb with K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. villain calls.

Flop(9600.00): 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

villain checks, i bet 2400(trying to induce a BRAI), villain shoves, i instacall.

villain shows J9o. turn bricks, river is a K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and i scoop.

we'll see how the next one on saturday goes.

FTP doesn't seem to display when someone posts in the CO. I had to manually input it in my other hand. I probably muck T9s in that spot.

I'd like to now share with you a hand that occurred during my first ever session of 7.50/15 like 8 mos ago.

I'm playing very rockish LDO because i'm taking a shot. A generous estimate of my vpip is around 3%.

Anyways, a donk limps, and an unknown villain raises EP. theres like a ton of callers and I look down to see QQ in the small blind (2/3 structure). I 3 bet and like 7 people CALL, INCLUDING THE EP RAISER. I plan on losing unless I hit a Q. note that there was no PF cap.

Well the flop doesnt have a Q, but it's 822 rainbow. So of course I bet. utg limper folds, the EP raiser CALLS, and some other dudes call.

The turn is another 2. I has a boat. I bet, the EP raiser CALLS, everyone else folds.

River is a 5. I bet. EP raiser HEMS AND HAWS. Finally he throws out six chips in resignation, saying, "well I might as well see what he has."

I table my QQ and reach for the pot.

The EP raiser slowly tables KK. he scoops.

he says "I thought you had quad 2's for sure"
