I doubt that Mets are gonna get Cordero now. BBTN just said that Minaya gave the Nats 6 guys they wouldn't trade and Nats said they had to offer one of those guys.

37 minutes left and I don't have a clue where they stand right now. Every rumor has fallen through.

L Millz, Gomez, F Mart, Pelf, Humber, Mulvey?

I say take Humber off and throw on Carp and that list looks good.

Needle,
Don't worry. Gomez is not going to get traded for Payton. The only way Gomez is going anywhere is if the Mets get a front-end starter that they can control for at least 2 more years.

[/ QUOTE ]

You were right. O's said they won't trade Payton and I know Minaya refused to offer Gomez.

Attention idiots....

2nd base is WAY more of a pressing need than the bullpen. THIS TEAM CAN'T SCORE! Every team's bullpen struggles and gives up runs, no matter who you bring in unless you have 7 closers there is no stopping that. As bullpens goes, ours is one of the better ones, however our offense has been anemic.

The main problem the mets have always had is whenever we bring a talented hitter into the org. as soon as they dawn the Mets uniform they completely forget how to hit. You have to believe Shea Stadium is a factor here. Luis Castillo is like a 8.000 career hitter at Shea, look it up. His slap hit style is now hurt by Shea's pitcher friendly dimensions. He is a guaranteed offensive boost. We need him!

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah bullpen not a pressing need.

Who's the idiot?

You're going to give up on the guy after 13 games in the bigs? Have you seen Glavine's numbers, for example, after his first 2 years in the league?

Guy touches 96 on the radar and we know that he is working on 2 pitches right now. His slider will improve as well as that 2-seam fastball.
