What I do is sort by pot size in Poker Tracker or Hold'em Manager and look at any pot over 20BBs. Then it's just a matter of evaluating lines, figuring out where money went in, and using pokerstove.

Yeah I do exactly this after every session♠

Villain is 21/11 over 65 hands.

Poker Stars, $0.05/$0.10 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
LegoPoker Hand History Converter

SB: $10.35
BB: $7.55
Hero (UTG): $10.35
MP: $7.70
CO: $4.60
BTN: $5.10

Pre-Flop: Ac Kc dealt to Hero (UTG)
Hero raises to $0.40, 2 folds, BTN calls $0.40, SB calls $0.35, BB folds

Flop: ($1.30) Ad 8c 2s (3 Players)
SB bets $0.40, Hero raises to $1.30, BTN folds, SB raises to $3.75, Hero ??

I put his range now mostly on PP that hit a set. Maybe AQ/AK(think he would have reraised those. Clear fold here right?

This seems to be pretty common and I have no idea how to play it.

Villian is a reg and is playing 21/8/4 over 125 hands. I havn't really played any pots against him. Im playing about 21/16 and havn't gotten too out of line.

What does this minraise mean and what should I do next?

Poker Stars, $0.25/$0.50 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players
LegoPoker Hand History Converter

CO: $15.30
BTN: $83.55
SB: $70.25
BB: $132.55
Hero (UTG): $49.75

Pre-Flop: Js Jd dealt to Hero (UTG)
Hero raises to $2, CO calls $2, 2 folds, BB calls $1.50

Flop: ($6.25) 2c 2d 7d (3 Players)
BB checks, Hero bets $5, CO folds, BB raises to $10 Hero??

Results: $16.25 Pot ($16.25 Rake)

How do I copy other peoples hand history posting so that it will show the suits without me having to enter them in manually?

The first hand is usually a fold. You've said extremely clearly that you have AK and he's still raising and probably doesn't expect you to fold AK.

Second hand the minraise could mean you're beaten, or it could mean he's testing the water with a seven or a smaller pocket pair. Since it's pretty unlikely you're beaten on this board, I'd call and I'd be inclined to call a bet on the turn as well unless it's particularly large. If he three barrels the river though I think I'd let it go even on blank turn/rivers.

I got this from the the micro nl sticky.

Re: Optimal Play at $25NL

1. From EP, play tighter-than-tight. I play any pocket pair, AK, AQ, maybe AJ and KQ (depending on the table and my image); that's it. I'm raising with AA-TT and AK, AQ, AJ, and KQ (if I play them). Sometimes I'll raise 99 and 88 as well.

So he's saying limp with pocket pairs 7's and lower? Is it standard to raise any pocket pair utg?

Short answer: yes, raise any pocket pair UTG

Long answer: there's a thread somewhere which discusses this at length

I raise all pocket pairs UTG, but it depends on the game conditions. The important thing is not how often you get called, but how often you get reraised. In passive games raise them all, in aggressive games start limping ones you don't want to call reraises with.

Jbrochu AQ hand: Flop - Gutshot? What gutshot?

Ha ha - for some reason this just brought to mind the old NO Saints coach (Mora?) in the press conferance going, "playoffs? You want to talk about playoffs"?

jgunnip already pointed this out. I made the mis-read in-game and it actually carried forward all the way through posting the hand.

Or just copy and paste trouble HHs into notepad right after playing them.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is what I do.

Additionally, I just started using PT in a variety of ways to pinpoint categories of hands and/or situations I might be struggling with and then I use the replayer to go through those hands and find questionable plays.

I seem to have little trouble finding hands I'm not happy with.
