i was, it is about -24 at this point. this month has been very variance filled but the BR is still going up cause i move up to chase at 25NL. (which i seem to run fairly decent at)

the reason i lost so much, i didnt know what a blind was when i started playing on party back in september of 2006 but i kept playing. i was playing 25 and 50 no limit with like 30-50 bucks in my BR. zero clue and i lost pretty much the entire $260 in the first month or so until mid october when i started reading here and playing 2NL soley. even then, i was breakeven until last month, roughly 20k hands of breakeven stretch at 2NL.

here i am now though, last month was my first winning month and my first $100 month. this month im at around $72 but my bb/100 isnt as good because of chasing. last month i ran 18.7BB/100 at 2NL over 12k hands. this month im only running 4.1BB/100 over 9800 hands thus far. terrible terrible but everytime i get a decent string of cards, the doomswitch comes on for 300 hands and the graph goes straight back down. it was looking to be a good month but around hand 6800 i had a serious down day.i make that all back and then a couple days ago i had another decent down day and also did some tilt flips at 2NL which didnt help squat since i didnt win any of them. monetarily the BR just keeps going up but since i lose a bunch at a lower limit where they play deep and then move up to chase the money, the bb/100 graph never fully recovers even though the money graph is looking better. hopefully i can level out some of this month and come out good. im going to try not moving up to chase anymore and that probly means i'll have to grind out longer sessions to make it work but it needs to happen because 4.1bb/100 is an unacceptable rate of return in my mind.

i really dont like a call but im a weak nit. we have very little invested at this point and to call off the stack with TPGK is not my idea of a good time. if you have some good reads that he'll do this with air or flush draws or weak kings, i might call. readless i think im folding like its my job, minus the short tank to make him think im contemplating.

Jaap

When I was playing 25NL I went through an 8 BI downswing over just like 2k hands.

Later I turned to crush the game for 13BB/100.

Your downswing could clearly be just variance. Working a lot on your game still won't hurt though.
