Re: NCAA College Football Week 11 -- Rank\'em
[ QUOTE ]
Florida has home & home with Miami for 2 years to go along with FSU, so the rest of the SEC needs to get their [censored] together. Fortunately they suck or next year's OOC schedule would be ridiculous if any of these teams were going to be good and Colt Brennan was coming back: @FSU vs Miami vs Hawaii [/ QUOTE ] My only contention here is, does Florida ever play anyone else(away) other than Miami or FSU OOC? Do they ever travel west? b |

vs Hawaii [/ QUOTE ] That'll be a 6 hour time difference for Hawai'i. Based on that alone wouldn't Florida be a big favorite even if the teams were evenly matched otherwise? |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] For those ranking Kansas #3 behind LSU and Oregon, do you think that if all three win out that an undefeated BCS conference champion should be left out of the BCS championship behind TWO one-loss teams? [/ QUOTE ] no but until they beat Mizzouri and Oklahoma they don't belong above LSU/Oregon [/ QUOTE ] So if the season ended today you'd leave them out? [/ QUOTE ] Yes, without a second thought. For the same reason that Brigham Young didn't deserve to be NC in 1984. [/ QUOTE ] LOL. This is great. I really hope it happens, it would be the greatest argument for ending the bowl cartel ever. [/ QUOTE ] You think KU is going to cancel it's game against Missouri? [/ QUOTE ] Yes, exactly. Did the IQ of this forum suddenly drop? The "it" that I hope happens is "undefeated BCS conference champion left out of championship game in favor of two one-loss teams". How would Kansas cancelling a game make a great argument for playoffs? Oh, I get it, you thought you were being cute. Haw haw. [/ QUOTE ] Yes, so cute that two of us did it, so it must have been. Basically we were just noting that the point of discussion was if we had to choose right now, in light of KU's easy schedule to date. Now the whole BCS topic is different. I wish we had a playoff and I wish it didn't involve any teams getting screwed, but I'm afraid that's what it will take, and probably several occurrences. |

funny tidbit from this week
Chris Fowler didn't vote Illinois into the top 25, yet he did vote for 4 big11ten teams, including Penn State and Wisconsin yep...awesome how the guys with the largest voices discrediting computer polls are exactly the guys that show why they are necessary |

[/ QUOTE ] It's the same thing. If Oklahoma doesn't make it to the big XII championship game, do you dump Kansas? If you really think it's KU's championship bid to lose, then WHY NOT put them #1 right now? |

I don't know if it fits in your article, but Herbstreit voted Auburn 18th last year after the Bowls. That's an 11-2 team who beat #1 Florida and #3 LSU. 18th. Outstanding.

That's pretty hilarious. I like how Craig James is the only one to have the balls to have Hawaii unranked.
