I heard Larry L on the radio this morning. Based on what he said, I would say the chance of resigning Lowell is somewhat better than 10% but you're pretty much dead on regarding A-rod.

Found this interesting. Curt Schilling posted the recruitment letter sent by management prior to their 2003 Thanksgiving visit to the Schilling house in his blog. Before you think it, he got their permission first.

An incentive-laden contract for Schilling is a very good deal for the Red Sox. He's got another year left in the tank and his presence would have to be good for Buchholz and Lester.

if he's got 20 starts in the tank including the playoffs i'll be happy. keep him healthy for the postseason, we've got enough depth to get by if he misses some time in june.

or curt could just show up in shape this year.
