Religious leaders are nothing more than other men on Earth along with us. They aren't any more immune to human nature than you or I. They aren't perfect. Any man who would have you believe that he is in any way better than you certainly isn't a good representation of Christianity. Their role is only to help you along your own path on the way to salvation. You have control over every aspect of your own faith. Everything you need to know is right there in the bible. If someone is teaching you something that isn't there, you have a huge reference guide to check them on that.
