no, i don't think i ran into you. I only really played for 4 days, so that doesn't say much.


On a related note, does anybody think there will be decent PLO side-action at the WSOPE? I know it's a tiny tournament, but they do have a PLO event. Does PLO tend to get spread at events like the EPT london/EPT Dublin?

On an unrelated note, should I be playing on Stars? I've always avoided it because of the no-rakeback thing, but if the games are worth playing and they're running, it seems silly to be that stubborn. Is the 5-10 any good?

Stars games have been soft to me. Haven't played 5/10 tho. Watched a few guys playing HU and they were horrible, was hard not to jump in. I'm sure you could just watch a few games, datamine it or something and get a good feel. I'd bet stars is softer than FTP at that level though.

how long will it take me to get to a level where I'm getting enough FPP for my life to be worth it? Say 20% rb? I guess I should head over to the zoo...

A long time. You'd have to put in a ton of hands to get to the platinum or supernova level of the VIP program. I don't know the exact value of FPP at each level of VIP program for stars but I've read somewhere that its actually not that bad of a deal. Someone somewhere on the net valued out the FPP systems and Im sure you can google it.

I personally don't like stars "rakeback". I'd just assume they give me cash instead of points that allow me to play in some VIP MTTs that i really have no interest in and buy ipods and monitors that I don't want.

But I do know that once you get gold+ for the VIP level, you start pulling in FPPs like a mad man assuming you multitable on a regular basis. C'mon down to Kzoo, we'll do two 12hour shifts on one account until its supernova, earn enough FPPs for two Aston Martins and sport those around for the rest of the summer.

I don't really mind the stars program for a little while, since I need a TV and could use a few more monitors for exciting around-the-house-projects (dedicated recipe server in the kitchen, anyone?) but if I'm going to be earning like 10% a week it seems hardly worth it when there are good games out there where I get 50%.


Do they have a good VIP program that might be willing to push me ahead a few levels if I demonstrate that I'm high-volume? Is there an email I should try?


It's hard being a high-volume mid-high stakes PLO player because you have to play on so many different sites. I want loyalty rewards. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Im fairly positive that you can't get pushed ahead in the VIP program. If you play enough you can hit gold in like 3months or less I think, just depending on the stakes and hands played on the site. Stars has the most PLO games running than any other site, its easy to multi table and they do have great support. I hate it because they don't have RB and HU tables though. Games are soft from the little I've played on FTP.

The only loyalty rewards you'll get will be bonsus from the VIP programs like the Silver and Gold weekly/monthly MTTs where the site fronts all the money.
