Dustin, if you are working in the field of integers, 21.5 is not a number. That is a fact.

[/ QUOTE ]

good thing we're working on the real number line

NO WE AREN'T. Unless it was more detailed, the language of the bet has to be interpreted using the common vernacular.

It is very common to discuss age only using integers. It is very uncommon to discuss age using rational numbers.

[/ QUOTE ]

I tend to agree with you except for the fact that he actually used the greater than sign, which is a mathematical symbol that means something very specific having nothing to do with the common vernacular

Skjonne must be a Idol Wagering forum regular and not a POG'er if he thinks we're still debating if 21.000000.1 is > 21.

I can't believe you guys are still adamantly arguing over this, especially when earlier in this very thread Dustin admitted he just likes to argue.

(I think he did, anyway.)

[/ QUOTE ]

While I do like to argue, I also strongly belive that Tokyo at the very least did not lose this bet

Yes, it means something very specific. But it is very limited. Simply using a greater than symbol does not establish which set of numbers you are working in.

I feel like you're just making this up as we go along.
