Inalienable rights defined by 55 men (much better than silly old majority rule)

[/ QUOTE ]

Have you read it? Did you even read the post you're responding to? The document contains no claims of *defining* or creating or granting these rights.

Oh that's right, they just acknowledged the rights that the Creator downloaded to their brains for the good of mankind.

I'm just acknowledging that God has told me that it's my right for you to not have a gun. End of story.

Anyone else agree that Mosdef and pvn should just register for a 1-on-1 debate instead of cluttering up at least three different threads with their argument?

I certainly don't mind a healthy debate. In terms of debating skills, mosdef is a few steps ahead of pvn.

I don't know about that. He (she? I don't even know and never really thought about it) has a lot of good points and arguments, but is prone to ... how shall I put this ... moments of sheer lunacy. I really only object to his "Democracy is stealing my Pepsi and making me drink Coke! Mugging!" moments, and it's not hard to at least hold my own starting from there.

You haven't come up with a good response to those; so far all you have is name calling (lunacy) and circular logic (majorities only vote for "good" things; whatever the majority votes for is "good").
