Re: Least favorite cities?
Al, excellent point. By your criteria the top 4 would easily be Boston, San Francisco, NYC, Portland.

Re: Least favorite cities?
Lubbock is so bad it doesn't deserve to be mentioned.
It's like beating a half-dead homeless man. What's the point? It's like the Nashville of West Texas |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] i'm from tx houston is easily the worst here [/ QUOTE ] This is incorrect. Try taking a trip to Amarillo, Lubbock, or Fort Worth sometime. Even Dallas is a huge step below Houston. [/ QUOTE ] to clarify, houston is easily the worst of the big ones (i.e. dallas, houston, fort worth, austin, san antonio). austin is easily the best followed closely by fort worth. fort worth is miles above dallas which is well above houston. |

Re: Least favorite cities?
I'm going to second Des Moines, IA.
That city is brutal. Very flat, very boring. The people are red necks but unfriendly... It's a mix of southern stupidity with Minnesotan coldness. |

Re: Least favorite cities?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Seattle is a HUGE baseball city [/ QUOTE ] It is? I remember when the Indians played the Mariners in the 1995 ALCS the commentators talked about how the newspaper had to publish a Baseball tutorial to educate fans. I guess things can change in 11 years, though. [/ QUOTE ] After the whole Ichiro! thing, baseball has taken on a new life here. UW consistantly turns out top-notch prospects for the pros, and the local high schools are nationally competitive. The largest Seattle-based recreational and competitive men's baseball league has over 50 teams in varying divisions, and there are at least three other smaller leagues to choose from as well. And even though the Mariners suck, Safeco has good turnouts at most of the games. There's also a pretty big following of the AquaSox and the Rainiers (minor league affiliates) here. |

My opinion of OOT has improved considerably because no one has nominated Chicago. [/ QUOTE ] Why would they? Chicago is a great city. |

[ QUOTE ]
I can't believe no one has said Baltimore. I have to conclude that no one has been there. [/ QUOTE ] [censored], I totally forgot about that. I've been there several times, but I don't think it's worse than Detroit/Cleveland/Atlanta. |
