Geez, I was all looking forward to the football season to ultimately get over the Phillies not making the playoffs. WTF?! I know it's still early and there's 14 more games.
But we lost to the Packers and the Redskins. Definitely two teams we should beat. When's hockey coming? |

Re: *Official* Philadelphia E-A-G-L-E-S Thread (2007-2008)
To be honest, after thinking about our situation overnight, I'm really not worried. We have just as much talent as we've had for the past 6 years. This team has always started slow, and combined with McNabb's injury has led to this. It shouldn't have been a surprise that he would be rusty out of the gate, and it shouldn't be a surprise to see him return to elite status by mid-season once he regains his health and rhythm. The defense has played surprisingly well, though our depth at secondary and linebacker is shaky. The offense will be fine. I'm amazed that people still doubt Reid and co despite everything they've accomplished, especially after the miracle turnaround last year.
It's going to be fun laughing in the faces of everyone in Fink's thread who think the Eagles suck now (I'm looking at you hoyasnaxa). |

Dont get me wrong, i want the eagles to win, but they arent good anymore. I hope it is just a slow start, but bad coaching and bad playing are usually a combination for a bad season. The eagles have had both in consecutive games, against teams that really arent that good.

GB is good. Fo realz. Losing an opener to them at GB because of two fluky punt muffs - it's an aberration.
We get Det, 0-2ny and bye and 0-2 NY. We may not lose again for 4 weeks. |

I agree completely .Alex. We were 0-2 in 2003 and that worked out fine. Although I am worried that McNabb will not regain full health this season, and it will doom us.
Unfortunately, outside this thread, if you say that you are labeled as a zomg huge homer. |

[/ QUOTE ] Don't forget that the Jets were a playoff team in the tough AFC last year and are only 0-2 because they've opened against NE and Baltimore. They even had a legit shot to win that game in Baltimore, which is a very tough place to play(take a look at their home record the past few years). I wouldn't be counting them as a sure win at all. Also I noticed that you listed the Jets and Giants current records but not the Lions....how come? |

Det was 2-0 3 years ago, how'd they end up that year? With another top 10 WR draft pick ,right?
ldo - Lions are better this year. |
