You'd think that people would stop dealing with him - I mean, there was a point a couple of years ago when I got near-weekly complaints from owners about the obscenely ridiculous offers he was regularly making (and better yet - trying to justify). I pretty much told them all - be honest with him, tell him to screw off until he gets a clue. Despite that, he still makes more trades in the NBN than nearly any other owner and most are clearly +EV.

Honestly then why the heck is he in the league, it just makes it mad annoying when you know it's impossible to trade with someone in the league and that certain players even if they are only slightly above average suddenly become untouchable.

[/ QUOTE ]

Honestly, if he puts you on this kind of permatilt, he's worth keeping around, imo. I'll see how many time I can offer him Marvin and May straight up for Oden before he cracks...

umm, if you don't like the way someone trades don't trade with them? Me and Barbier are in two leagues together and will probably never complete a trade for this exact reason.

Barbier is great to trade with, you just need to get to know him. I make an average of 3-4 trades PER YEAR with him.

A guy like Barbier is better for the league than a guy like me, who is extremely slow to pull the trigger on trades.

I'm in leagues with guys like Dave who offer absurd trades, and the only thing annoying about it is that occasionally people accept them. Just because he OFFERS one-sided trades doesn't mean he won't ACCEPT reasonable ones. As long as you don't let yourself get taken advantage of, you'll be fine.

Many NBA teams havn't made a noteable trade in years...should they be kicked out of the NBA? I just don't see how you could justify kicking someone out of the league just because they refuse to trade unless they get a clear +EV deal....thats their choice.

It's just really annoying having someone in the league that's impossible to make a trade with unless you want to get raped that's all.

Two things.

1. He's been around the original league since inception. While I am first to admit his initial offers are usually absurd, you need to consider that *maybe* he understands trade values and league values more than you do. Because, he does.

2. Give him counteroffers that you think are reasonable. He makes more trades than anyone in the league. It's not because they are all one-sided. In fact, I don't think he's ever even gotten to the 2nd round of the playoffs, so how lopsided can all those trades possibly be?

I did give him a very +EV and reasonable counter offer. I offered him some scrub (cant remember)+ Michael Redd for Kaman+Blatche where he is def getting the better end of the deal and he still declined. He has a ton of bigmen anyway and needs guards.

Of course he countered with some ridiculous offer I forgot because it was so bad. Something like Redd+Andre Miller+someone else AND my first round pick for Kaman+Bibby+someone else LOL. (Can't remember the exact trade but it was so awful and he expected me to throw in a 1st round pick too).

After that I just said [censored] it and realized he isn't going to a deal unless hes drastically ripping me off.
