Re: **OFFICIAL 2007 Cleveland Indians Thread**
cliff lee on being in the bully in september:
"I would say that's a concern, yeah," Lee said. "I thought I had a set role here. ... I'm kind of curious what the future holds here." me on cliff lee being in the bully in september: "Cliff, you had a set role until you sucked. try not to suck in this one." actually, i'm kind of intrigued by lee going to the pen. i think there's a good chance he can provide wedgie with someone besides rafyright and rafyleft to rely on. maybe lee and lewis can give him two more options. it would be nice. |

Re: **OFFICIAL 2007 Cleveland Indians Thread**
i followed the indians 2 years out of last 25. in 95 and 97 -- 95 was fun because the lineup was stacked. almost everyone was batting 300. i think omar was batting 9th.
does this team even have a chance? travis hafner hitting .245 WTF? are they going to be the worst hitting team in the AL to make the playoffs? what's up with this team anyway is it good pitching or is the hitting not as bad as i think it is? |

Re: **OFFICIAL 2007 Cleveland Indians Thread**
arnold,
the indians are 11th in the league in EQA, 10th in EQR (though that's probably a product of us having played a couple of more games than seattle). the team is really quite average offensively, which is what happens when your best player turns average and you insist on running 2 offensive holes out there for 75% of the season. according to baseball-reference, the indians are 6th in the AL with a 4.22 ERA, which seems low to me. but if you look at the 4 guys we'll have in the rotation in october, and the rafyleft and rafyright combo, and you can see we'll be very tough to score runs off, at least in theory. of course, there's always the 9th inning... |

cc/santana...makes for a nice labor day..
also, for whatever reason, being up 5.5 games with 25ish left worries the bejesus out of me, it reminds me too much of last year.. God, please let the tribe do some damage this year, they may be my only entertainment due to michigan's season already being over, and the browns being the browns.. |

Re: **OFFICIAL 2007 Cleveland Indians Thread**
Maybe it's just because the Tigers are playing like a Little League team since the AS break, but I feel completely confident in the Indians lead right now. 6 games is v. solid, but I guess thats reflected in their >90% chance of the playoffs in BP Odds report.
I just don't see the Tigers turning it around anytime soon. Great [censored] game outta CC today, go tribe! |
