Re: Predict the Opening Line: Pats in Indy
Was sweating bullets about my IND +6.5 when they made that last first down, given Belichick's propensity to run up the score.
I'll take the cover, even though I thought it was in the bag in the middle of the 4th quarter. Ship 5 units! |

[ QUOTE ] refs were fair..patriots are cheaters...i had indy at +6 so im happy [/ QUOTE ] LOZL biased much??? Those were some of the biggest, most awful calls I've ever seen against the Patriots and anyone who thinks otherwise is a straight up bitter Indianapolis fan. [/ QUOTE ] lol your subliminally admitting that the patriots usually get every single call and all pats fans know it so thats why this game seemed so unusual |

Re: Predict the Opening Line: Pats in Indy
Its an almost certainty that the audio problems were in the broadcast and not at the live game.
i.e. the feed probably has a separate mix for ambiance / crowd noise and that processor was likely having problems. If that happened at the live game, you'd see all sorts of hubub about it, with the memo that the commish sent out last year about losing draft picks. You would have seen Belicheck discussing it post-game, all sorts of red flags being raised, and it would be a front page story on ESPN right now. -P |

There's an article about the crowd noise on Yahoo, for some reason the link screws up when I try to post it.

Re: Predict the Opening Line: Pats in Indy
Yahoo Sports article
[ QUOTE ] The NFL is looking into allegations that the Indianapolis Colts piped in noise during the game Sunday between the Colts and the Patriots. The charge comes after Patriots President Jonathan Kraft became the latest NFL team executive to accuse the Colts of the distracting tactic that is against the rules. "We're aware of it and we're looking into it," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said Monday. "It may just be the TV feed from CBS, but we're checking it out." ... A Patriots spokesman said Monday the team plans no formal protest to the league. [/ QUOTE ] |
